Convocation Address and Honorary Degree

It was my honour to speak at the Spring Convocation of Crandall University in Moncton, New Brunswick, on May 7 2022, just as it was my delight to reconnect with three former students now on faculty at the university. I gave a charge to the graduates entitled, How Firm a Foundation, about the “foundation stones” laid in their Christian education for a lifetime of faithful service and blessing to the world. I wanted to underline the fundamental convictions of a deep Christian humanism in a threefold Credo: I believe in universal human dignity. I believe in common human reason. And, finally, I believe in mercy. I was awarded on this occasion the honorary degree of Doctor of Letters (DLitt, honoris causa).
